YOUR COOKING QUESTIONS

Helpful answers before you cook

Can I skip the rice soak?

The provisional quantities and covered times assume washed, soaked and drained basmati; skipping soaking changes liquid and timing.

Can I use a pressure cooker?

A cooker-specific pressure timing, minimum liquid, fill limit and release procedure have not been verified; do not assume this stovetop method transfers.

How are nutrition values calculated?

Base full batch is four servings; divide verified batch totals by four. Accompaniments excluded.

How does serving scaling work?

Ingredient quantities can scale 2/4/8, but rice water, pot size, oil retention and cooking times require practical verification rather than linear scaling.
