About Korean Ramen
This Korean ramen entry is defined as a fresh-topped ramyeon-style noodle soup using plain instant noodles and a measured chilli broth. It is not a long-simmered Japanese ramen stock and does not rely on an unspecified seasoning packet. Firm tofu, mushrooms and fully cooked egg make two complete bowls. Cook noodles only when everything else is ready, because instant ramyeon continues absorbing broth rapidly after leaving the stove.
Kitchen testing has not been documented for this recipe. Cooking times are estimates and vary with the stove, cookware and batch size. Follow the doneness checks in the method.
Make it work for your kitchen
Original quantities serve 2. Cooking times, pan size and frying-oil depth do not scale, cook in extra batches instead.
Before you start
Set up before heating
Use plain ramyeon-style noodles and set aside any seasoning sachets. Measure stock separately; this is a fresh home broth rather than a claim to a particular packaged brand.

Chef’s tips
- Cook instant noodles last so they reach the bowl before turning swollen and soft.
- Have sauce measured and vegetables cut before the high-heat stage; do not stop mid-fry to chop the remaining ingredients.
Common mistakes & quick fixes
- Broth too salty
- Do not add factory seasoning sachets on top of the listed soy and gochujang.
- Soft noodles
- Follow the specific packet time and have bowls ready before noodles go in.
- Raw egg streaks
- Maintain a simmer after pouring and cook all strands until firm.
Variations & serving ideas
Ingredient boundary: Noodles absorb broth and soften. Store untouched broth and noodles separately if necessary and reheat thoroughly once.

| Sauce | The sauce should season the named main ingredient without leaving an unintended watery puddle; use the specific reduction cue above. |
Storage & reheating
| Shallow covered portions in the refrigerator | Use within 48 hours | Cool promptly and keep at 4°C or colder. Reheat only once until steaming throughout; poultry or mixed leftovers should reach 74°C. Keep crisp coatings and fresh garnishes separate where possible. |
