DG ISPR Maj. Gen. Asif Ghafoor, using his personal twitter account, thanked Pakistanis for making #15AugustBlackDay a top trend on twitter.
He later tweeted and informed of the cases of suspended Pakistani accounts being taken up with Twitter and Facebook. He pointed out that it was the Indian staff at the regional Headquarters of Facebook and Twitter that were behind the accounts’ suspension.
Following his tweet, #StopSuspendingPakistanis became the second most tweeted trend on Twitter.
