The fast bowler of Sri Lanka Lasith Malinga has announced that he will be retiring from ODI cricket after the Sri Lanka’s first ODI against Bangladesh on July 26.

Malinga is Sri Lanka’s third-highest wicket-taker in one-day international cricket with 335 wickets in 219 innings so far. The highest wicket taker from Sri Lanka is Muttiah Muralitharan (523) and the second one is Chaminda Vaas (399) who have have taken more wickets than Malinga in ODI cricket.

The 35-year old has been a great asset for the Sri Lanka’s Cricket team. He have always been a match-winner for Sri Lanka with his spells often single-handedly decimating the opposition batting.
