Few months back nobody knew who Arslan “Ash” Siddiqui was, if you didn’t watch EVO yesterday you might still don’t know that this 23 years old Pakistani is the world’s best Tekken 7 player. He earned the first-ever unified Evo champion honor at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on August 4, 2019 by incredibly beating South Korean player Knee. He won Tekken in both Evo Japan and Las Vegas taking out big names like Jae Min “Knee” Bae who is considered a GOD of the gaming community. The player celebrated his victory by bowing down and touching his head to the ground in gratitude.

For those who don’t know what EVO is: The Evolution Championship Series (Evo for short) is organized for fighting game community every year. It is the most prestigious and longest-running fighting game tournament. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Street Fighter V, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Samurai Shodown, Soul Calibur 6, Mortal Kombat 11 and Dragon Ball FighterZ were also included in this year EVO lineup. Over 9,000 total game enthusiast participated this year.

The final match of Tekken 7 was between Arslan Ash and Jae Min “Knee” Bae. Ash played with the character Kazumi Mishima, who is an antagonist in Tekken series. Whereas Knee picked Devil Jin to fight for EVO title. Hoa “Anakin” Luu, Abe “Take” Takehiro, Noroma, Nakayama “Nobi” Daichi, Sun Woong “LowHigh” Youn and Yuta “chikurin’ Take were the top 8 participants in the Tekken tournament.
