As an aftermath of India revoking the special status of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and Indian aggression along the Line of Control (LoC), on Tuesday, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa summoned a meeting of the Corps Commanders in General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi to review the regional security.

COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the Pakistan Army will go to any extent to fulfill its obligations towards Kashmiri people. The forum supported the stance of the Government of Pakistan on the situation, rejected and condemned the Indian move.

“The military leadership fully supports the Pakistan government’s rejections of Indian actions regarding Kashmir and is prepared and shall go to any extent to fulfil obligations to the Kashmiri people,” he added.

Pakistan Army’s Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) is a statement after the meeting said, “Pakistan never recognised the sham Indian efforts to legalise its occupation of Jammu & Kashmir through article 370 or 35-A decades ago; efforts which have now been revoked by India itself.”
