Kabul, July 19th, 2019: Blast at Kabul University, Afghanistan killed 6 & wounded 27. This incident took places near university premises in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul on Friday.

The Health Ministry of Afghanistan, Wahidullah Mayar, wrote on Twitter;

The blast took place near Kabul University’s at the southern entrance. Till now no one has claimed the responsibility for the attack.

The blast also explode cars which were nearby, Uptill now it is not clear if the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber or detonated remotely, according to Kabul police spokesman Ferdous Faramarz.

Several hostels are located at the university premises where many students stay over the summer, attending classes and conducting research.

The blast happened days after intra-Afghan talks in Doha, Qatar, featuring Afghan leaders and Taliban representatives. Both the parties called for the reduction of civilian casualties to “zero” amid the rising death toll in the war-torn country.
