Eutger died in the Netherlands on Friday after a short illness. Hauer was born on 23 January 1944 in Breukelen, Netherlands. In his youth, he joined the Dutch merchant navy but returned to Amsterdam in 1962.
After that he started studying acting but then he quit to join the army. Later, he returned to acting and got his major break in the series Floris in 1969.

The most famous role he did was for the Blade Runner. Some of the movie for which he was casted are Sin City, Batman Begins and the HBO series True Blood.
